Family getaway between Verdon and Provence Verte

8 stages   96,62 km   2h19 of trip

Discover Provence with your tribe by taking a countryside tour to discover hidden treasures that delight young and old people alike! Tailored for adults and children, this itinerary is declined over 3 days (from Aups to Fox-Amphoux/Ginasservis/Tourves) to take the time to stroll and experience Provence from the inside. Enjoy Provence’s gastronomy and know-how with its wines, of course, but also truffles, olive oil, saffron, fruits and vegetables (in permaculture), jams and even snails! Discover the secrets of ceramics in Salernes and earthenware in Varages. When summer is at its hottest, make a stop at the Sillans waterfall or in the Caramy gorges. Pack your suitcases, your hosts are waiting to share with you some special time and a bit of their history.

Did You Know?

Aups is Provence’s capital of truffles; it’s where you will find the "Black Diamond" or "Tuber Melanosporum”, this mushroom that lives underground, mainly at the foot of oak and hazelnut trees. Its black bark covers a black flesh delicately marbled with white. Its very particular flavour is rich of more than 70 aromatic components. It thrives at a medium altitude, in a generally hot and dry climate, with spring rains and shallow limestone soil. Known since ancient times, it is still today the essential jewel of festive menus and gourmet meals.
