Women of the wine world in Dracénie

The region of Dracénie combines lovely landscapes with the talent and tradition of women winemakers. From the hills of Saint-Antonin-du-Var and Lorgues to the plain of Argens sur Taradeau, Vidauban and Les Arcs-sur-Argens, the route joins the Esclans Valley in La Motte. It invites you to 8 different steps, among which some makers of Grands Crus Classés.

Did You Know?

The territory of Dracénie extends around its capital, Draguignan. You can cycle on its bike lanes between Sillans-La-Cascade and Flayosc (30 km) and its 15-km route "La Vigne à Vélo" between Les- Arcs-sur-Argens and Draguignan.

It is a wine cabinet of 800 AOP Côtes-de-Provence wines sold at "producer" prices. It offers free weekly guided tasting of 16 wines.

The Terra Rossa Museum in Salernes

The Terra Rossa museum is housed in an old tiling factory. It exhibits archaeological pieces and showcases the traditional manufacture of the tomettes and tiles of Salernes. It has a unique collection of more than 2000 decorated tiles from the Middle Ages to the nineteenth century. Also on display, creations of pottery artists and temporary exhibitions dedicated to creators.

The Sainte Roseline Chapel in Les Arcs-sur-Argens

This classified chapel houses the relics of St. Roseline de Villeneuve since the fourteenth century. Works by Chagall, Bazaine, Ubac and Giacometti are mixed with impressive Renaissance and Baroque furniture.

Bicycle through the vineyards

You’ll find 4,5 km of cycle path between Sainte-Roseline and the village of Les Arcs-sur-Argens. It is the first section of a 42-km route called “La Vigne à Vélo”.

The waterfall belvedere at Sillans la Cascade

It is labeled ‘Espace Naturel Sensible’, or sensitive natural habitat. A large loop joins two panoramic viewpoints to a lookout on the waterfall, passing through the travertine cliffs and the ruins of a flour mill, which was used until the early twentieth century.

The Saint-Barthélémy valley in Salernes

Saint-Barthélémy valley has been deemed an, ‘Espace Naturel Sensible’, that is, a ‘sensitive natural habitat’. Ideal for a picnic at its entrance, the site becomes a gorge home to many caves that were once inhabited. You’ll also find a votive chapel, the megalithic tombs of Tholos de la Lauve and the site of old Salernes.
