Presentation

A beautiful centuries-old farmhouse is home to a rosé like no others. In forty years, the Chauvier family has developed a consummate art of rosé vinification. Its assembly of four grape varieties shines by its originality. The new generation intends to continue this success with another colour: red.

Extra

With its aromas and roundness, the rosé from Domaine de Marchandise cultivates its very own personality.

Original and unusual

The domain of the Chauvier family owes its name to a place called the "La route de marchandise", the goods road. This name appeared in the early eighteenth century, during the Plague of Marseille, an epidemic that claimed nearly a quarter of Provence population. The Southern City was quarantined. Convoy proceeded to its regular supply. They came from different storage areas where all the necessary products for Marseilles’ survival were brought together. One of them was laid out north of Roquebrune-sur-Argens. For indigenous, it quickly became "’La route des marchandises’. Hence the name it has today.
