Enjoy a gourmet feast at the foot of the Massif des Maures. The wines of Jean-Pierre and Isabelle Daziano happily restore the intense aromas of the grapes, for our great pleasure. We owe it to the ground, obviously, but also to the passion and perseverance of its owners.
Domaine de la Fouquette offers food and shelter. The property is home to a guesthouse (and table d’hôtes) with four bedrooms classified three stars by Gîtes de France. Every Sunday and holidays at lunchtime, Isabelle also swaps her winemaker cap for an apron and cooks a "farmhouse" formula very popular among gourmets. For only 27 euros, the lady treats her guests with a menu prepared with products from the vegetable garden and the backyard poultry. Her house specialties are chicken bouillabaisse, duck confit and rabbit with tapenade.
"Dad, Dad, the trees are all naked! "Hundreds of cork oaks line the road to Gonfaron. Most have them have been stripped of their bark, which is such a precious material. They will probably end up as wine corks, the best of the genre, the only ones to allow the aging of wine.
