The work of this passionate winemaker is exemplary. Bruno Merle, his wife Mariette and his son Thomas make lovely wines from the fifty hectares of the land they’re exploiting. Their rosés are the perfect expression of regional expertise, while their reds show that Provencal terroir is also great for that colour.

Don’t miss our varietal collection, with the "rosé Var" novelty, a forgotten variety, but a modern, light rosé, with aromas of white peaches and citrus, perfect for an aperitif!

Original and unusual

The vineyards of Domaine Bouisse-Matteri house a venerable ancestor, one of these “dyer” varieties that Provence doted into the ‘70s: the grey Aramon! “It has long been confused with Roussane,” says Bruno Merle. “It gives large grey grains that do little alcohol when mature but bring liveliness to our Vin de Pays du Var in rosé.”
