Presentation

Welcome to Provence : its vineyard, parasol pines, olive trees and evergreen oaks, to a land bathed in light and caressed by the gentle murmur of the small river Aille. Here, nestled among the lowest foothills of the Maures, Château Saint Julien d’Aille spreads over 172ha of land entirely dedicated to respect nature and to produce outstanding wines. We invite you to discover wines of unrivalled refinement, touched by nobility and elegance, due to a day-to-day of utmost precision that aims to sublimate an entire wine area.

Extra

The castle has two reception rooms for seminars and weddings: in the old vaulted chapel, with exposed stones and fireplace, or in a large room with ceiling niches and lime paint. The estate also has 1800 olive trees that produce AOC oil.

Original and unusual

Saint-Julien lived in the third century AD. Against the advice of the Roman authorities, the centurion converted to Christianity in 304 and deserted the army. He was arrested, put to death and beheaded. The rebellion of this martyr against the omnipotence of Rome would spark an immense fervour throughout the Empire. In Gaulle, over 300 chapels were erected to Saint Julien’s memory. In 1095, Pope Urban IX decided to sanctify him and blessed the chapel of Château Saint Julien.
