Presentation

As often with winemakers, history has its roots in family. Located between Mazaugues and Tourves, Domaine des Blacailloux, is a real gem. It is also a moving story; that of a son who fulfilled the dream of his father who passed away too soon. Today he runs a cellar that gives life to the best wines.

Extra

The domain’s main asset is undeniably its visitor’s reception, with its wine cellar open to the public, a large and bright wine shop, and a private lounge for more intimate tasting. And a Facebook page and a blog are regularly fed to let you follow the domain’s news, thus staying connected with the Domain Blacailloux!

Original and unusual

Originally, the families who lived in “bastides” were self-sufficient thanks to the practice of mixed farming. They grew their own fruits and vegetables and cultivated vineyards to produce the wine they were drinking. Located along a transhumance path, the bastide of Blacailloux, which dates from the 14th century, is one of the oldest in the region.
