Domaine Sainte Croix la Manuelle plays perfectly with the diversity of its soils. A long time ago, the Cistercian monks of the Thoronet Abbey converted the countryside between Le Luc and Lorgues to viticulture. The tradition continues in a beautiful way, as testified by the wines of Christian and Laurent Pelepol.
Housed in a stone cottage, the former tasting cellar of Sainte Croix la Manuelle is hardly used except to offer hospitality at lunchtime to the domain’s visitors. Indeed, Christian and Cathy Pelepol don’t hesitate to install their guests there if they want to have a picnic around a house bottle.
With twelve hectares in one piece, La Manuelle is the king plot of Christian Pelepol’s domain. This locality is a former possession of the Bethlehem Monastery whose tower you can see from Christian Pelepol’s cellar. This religious building still hosts thirty nuns.
