In Lançon-Provence, three brothers, Vincent, Pierre and Gabriel, are following in the foodsteps of their grandparents, Léonie and Louis Tobias, and their parents, Gérard and Pierrette Tobias, by cultivating the family estate of La Cadenière. Since 2005, the 52-hectare vineyard has been farmed organically, under the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation.
The tasting room offers a small but delightful selection of local products: honey, jams, tapenades, olive oil, and aromatic herbs. Throughout the year, La Cadenière comes alive with friendly, community-focused events: musical evening every Thursday during summer, and once a month Saturday brunches. Guided tours of the estate and walking trails can also be booked year-round.
In addition to their red, rosé, and white wines, the winemakers also produce a rare and refined Muscat Petits Grains, known for its exotic and floral aromas. Few estates in Provence grow this grape, making La Cadenière one of the rare exceptions — with a discreet yet remarkable production of an elegant sweet wine, offering notes of citrus, acacia, and honey.
