Gavoty is a big name of the Provençal winemaking business; indeed it is a pioneering domain. Settled in Cabasse for over two centuries, the Gavoty family has done much for the vineyards of Provence. They have introduced there the Rolle variety, which gives local white wines its delicacy, and has contributed to the recognition of its rosé wines.

Meet a wine-maker, and that’s not all, you get to visit the farm too! Here we raise goats, donkeys, pigs and we have a big farmyard. To really immerse yourself in the history of the estate, what could be better than to stay in the wine-maker’s gîte (accommodation for 12 to 20 people), it stands right in the heart of the hamlet, an imposing Provençal « bastide », a family home perfect for those who love the real Provence. The estate aims to protect biodiversity and renew mixed farming practices, corresponding to strongly held personal convictions about protecting the health of plants and the wine.

Original and unusual

The milliaire headstone found on the estate and displayed in his cellar : "Neron Claude, son of the divine Claude, grand-son of Cesar Germanicus, great-grand-son of the divine Augustus Cesar, German Auguste, great pundit invested of the IVth tribune power, emperor for the IVth time, consul for the IIIrd time, father of the country, has restored this road. "
