Presentation

From maple to vine, or the story of a Canadian family who became winemaker in Provence. It’s a large property located in Carnoules, near Toulon, where live pines, olive trees and vines. The Canadian Hugh Faulkner couldn’t resist this enchanting landscape and moved there with his family 25 years ago. He then revived the vineyard and his son Julian further improved it.

Extra

In addition to the wines, the cellar offers two house products: balsamic vinegar and olive oil from the 500 olive trees of the property.

Original and unusual

It's not every day that a minister becomes winemaker! Yet this is the path followed by Hugh Faulkner. The owner of the Grand Cros seconded indeed thrice Pierre Eliott Trudeau, the most famous of Canadian Prime Ministers. It was his Secretary of State, Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of Northern Affairs.
