Presentation

The centuries-old walls and the surrounding vines have been the property of the same family for three centuries. In Pontevès, north of the Coteaux Varois en Provence appellation, the domain of Guillaume and Armelle Jerphanion writes with each new vintage a page over its long, long history.

Extra

The great secular residence of Domaine Saint-Ferreol houses a beautiful guesthouse with three bedrooms (including a family suite) full of charm and authenticity. Their occupants enjoy beautiful reception conditions. In fine weather, breakfasts are taken in the square courtyard of the bastide. A dining room and kitchen area are available to all. A perfectly landscaped outdoor pool refreshes summer days. Two quality cottages complete the accommodation offer.

Original and unusual

In the sixteenth century, the domain of Ferréol was the property of Pierre Maurel. The man remained famous in the history of Provence for his amazing ascent. This native of Aix started his career selling linens, and ended it as the Intendant of the King's Finance! Meanwhile, he accumulated such a great fortune that his contemporaries nicknamed him the "Croesus of Provence". This wealth enabled him to build the first private hotel of a great alley in Aix, created from 1649. In 1876, this long walk of 440 metres took its final name: the Cours Mirabeau.
