The domain Matourne has built a reputation as a “crafter of red wines with ageing potential”. It is located in an idyllic and secluded setting, on the heights of Flayosc in the Var hinterland. Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon — so dear to this unusual winemaker – flourish on its deep clay and limestone soils.

Do you want to prolong the pleasure of wine tasting? Then rent one of the four comfortable cottages, for 2-4 people, which are spread across the vineyard. The master of the house provides a guided tour of his domain as well as tasting of his wines, and even loads bottles in your trunk!

Original and unusual

The domain Matourne, which is linked to the hamlet of the same name, is located 4 km north of Flayosc, one of the perched villages of Provence. Installed from the Middle Ages on a rocky plateau, it dominates the Flayosquet Valley.
