One of the great domains of Provence signs here some exceptional rosés. On the peninsula of Saint-Tropez, Minuty cultivates the family spirit since 1936. François and Jean-Etienne Matton aim to continually improve the exceptional terroir that was passed on to them by producing elegant wines, particularly sought after.
To ensure long-term quality, the siblings adopted the principles of sustainable agriculture; they renounced herbicides and insecticides and improved the soil with natural fertilizers (from goats and sheep) that are particularly rich in organic matter, a great contribution to sandy soils.
At Chateau Minuty the wine benchmark was long the cuvee Oratoire. The 50th vintage never saw the light because in 2009, the Matton brothers decided to stop its production. The Prestige Cuvée replaced Oratory, a choice taken by the tandem of winemakers. “With Jean-Etienne, we considered that we had the experience, knowledge and maturity to produce our own wines,” explains François Matton. “We continue the domain’s story but with our signature.”
