Extra

For a wedding, a christening meal, a friendly or business meeting, Rouët Castle offers a reception room of 120 m2, holding up to 130 guests. Perfectly equipped to host a caterer, this space is located just above the barrel storage. Glass-openings in the floor lets you admire the barrels at your feet, a picturesque setting skilfully enhanced by soft lighting. The estate also offers accommodation: two holiday cottages for 2, “La Réserve” and “La Maison de Fifine”, as well as a mansion, “La Grande Maison”. This former family home was built in the 19th century and is adorned with frescoes and ancient ceramics; it is hidden away in a large park. A delicious journey through time! Hosting proposals related to receptions are also offered. An apartment, La Glycine, is available for guests who prefer to enjoy their evening.

Original and unusual

At the heart of Castle Rouët lies a discreet and inspired place: the chapel lit by beautiful stained glass windows evoking, among others, the Annunciation, is adorned with trompe l'oeil. Among the decorative elements, two doors are steeped in history. Lucien Savatier, then director of the Forges and Shipyards in La Seyne-sur-Mer, recovered them in 1888 when his company was charged of disarming the Belle Poule. This frigate built in 1834 experienced her heyday six years later when she brought back Napoleon’s ashes from St. Helena. This memory has inspired the name of one of the best vintages of the estate: La Belle Poule!
