Presentation

This domain of Pignans has been shining for a century in the firmament of the wines of Provence. Vine is definitely a unique plant, as it adapts easily to difficult lands that no other crop would grow on; provided of course to enjoy the attention and know-how of experienced winemakers, like in Rimauresq for example. Extra

The cellar offers wine, certainly, but also whiskey: those of the Wemyss family. Scotch lovers will find a wide selection of vintage malts (up to 36 years of age) and blended malts from Islay, Speyside and the Highlands.

Original and unusual

An ancestral shrine looks over the vines of Rimauresq from the top of Massif des Maures. It is called Notre-Dame des Anges and rests on the foundations of an ancient Merovingian chapel. Thierry, son of Clovis, built it in 517, the day after an important victory for the Franks against the Visigoths.
