It’s the story of a second life; of two second lives: that of the domain and those who have taken it over. Led since 2000 by Marie-Christine and Philippe Guillanton, Château Margüi in Chateauvert has become in recent years one of the jewels of the appellation Coteaux Varois en Provence, signing particularly successful gastronomy wines.
The château has three acres of certified organic olive trees that produce a tasty olive oil.
The Guillanton couple restored the medieval chapel of the twelfth century and the castle dating from 1784 with meticulous respect of old materials (stone, lime plaster, door frame, cross vaults and stone cradles, tiles and wrought iron). It was a craftsmanship work!
