Original and unusual
In 1934, Simone Berriau - a star of French cinema - acquired Château de Mauvanne. After the war, this talented actress proved to be a visionary theatre director and she was the first to offer a stage to Jean-Paul Sartre. Thanks to her, Mauvanne boasts a superb guestbook with guests as prestigious as Charlie Chaplin, Louis Jouvet, Colette and Cécile Sorel.
