Here all the ingredients for a good wine: sun, water, wind—but not too much, a beautiful land and the passion of a man. Located about 300 metres above sea level, overlooking the eastern Var up to the coast, the domain of the Great Esclans spread over 198 hectares, 43 of which are vineyards. They provide quality wines thanks to the work and enthusiasm of the premises master Justo Benito.
Great Esclans produce and market its house olive oil from over four hundred olive trees on 5 acres of land. This nectar with a green fruitiness is sweet and savoury on the palate. It’s ideal with the delicate flesh of a Mediterranean fish.
A 17th century barn stands on the heights of the field. It was about to collapse when Justo Benito took over the domain. He quickly set about its renovation in keeping with the history and heritage. It has found a new life and its old stonewall, large arches and monumental beams could house some festivities in the future.
