This family estate is worthy of the reputation for excellence of the Bandol AOP. At the entrance of Plan du Castellet - a quiet village next to La Cadière d'Azur - the wine shop of Domaine des Baguiers looks modest. But make no mistake: the stopover is beautiful for those who like good Bandol wines!

In addition to the house wines, the wine shop offers many local products: grape juice, chestnut cream, jams, terrines, tapenades and other anchovy pastes.

Original and unusual

In the ‘90s, the Provence vineyards experienced difficult times. Prices collapsed, in Bandol like in the rest of the region. Instead of selling their wines, the Jourdans decided to keep them and wait for better days. And when those arrived, customers showed a strong interest in these older vintages. Therefore the practice has continued and you can still find in the wine shop some 1998 and 2001 red vintages aged to perfection.
