On the slopes of the Massif de la Sainte Baume and Mount Aurélien, and the ruins of a 16th-century sheepfold, this superb and peaceful natural setting holds 10 acres of sun-drenched vineyards. Here, for the last dozen years, the art of making wine has been reaching a high level of excellence.

Do you want to discover what’s behind the scenes? On request, the master of the house opens the doors of a barrel cellar of rare elegance, for a private tasting where visitors really feel privileged.

Original and unusual

Why Aquino? Legend has it that at one of his return trips between France and Italy, Saint Thomas Aquinas would have passed by what was then a simple sheepfold, before becoming the Bergerie d'Aquino.
